Introduction!

Instead of establishing a new, fictitious colony, I have chosen to settle in a colony that was already been formed, that being South Carolina. The leader of my colony, whose name is Tyler Perry, and his group of around 50 followers, have chosen to leave England for one reason, religious freedom. With the newly created Church of England, Perry and his followers were afraid that they would face religious persecution if they chose to stay. They had heard rumors of all these people fleeing to the newly found Americas, and they think that would be a great place to go to and be able to believe and think the way they want to think! In order to achieve their goal however, they were going to need a way to get over there. So, in hopes of getting England to pay for it herself, they devised a plan to tell the King that they would travel to the new world and establish a colony south of Virginia, that they would cultivate and send the goods and profits his way. The King liked the sound of that, because if they went over there and it was successful, then he was in the clear, and making a lot more money, and if they failed, he would just never speak of it again, and hey, it was only about 50 people, so who would notice?
So they were off! Perry and his followers were on their way to the New World, in hopes that they would not only find religious freedom, but that they would all be able to start over new, and erase their past lives. The looked forward to settling in, making a life for themselves, and thriving in their new colony! Though they had high hopes, there was a feeling of immense fear in the back of their heads. This was a brand new life for the settlers. They hadn’t heard much about the colonies, and were fearful that once they get there, it might not be all that is was cracked up to be. They had heard about the Native Americans, and were afraid of the hostility that might arise between the two groups. They had a plan to make things work with the Native Americans, but what if they weren’t willing to compromise? All of these things were plaguing the minds of Perry and his group, yet, they kept their heads high. All in all, they were excited, yet fearful. Like one would be if they were about to sky dive, excited about actually sky diving, and how much fun it could be, but fearful of the fact that if something goes wrong, it could end in disaster.
